Positive Reviews
positive:
Good transport links.
One of the main benefits of staying at Park View House is the convenient bus route into the city centre. You’ll be able to stroll out of the hotel, jump on a bus and before you know it you’ll be in the heart of Edinburgh! Many guests reported that although it was a bit far to walk to the main attractions, the bus network made exploring the city quick and easy.
positive:
Free car parking.
If you are looking to drive to Edinburgh you will be able to take advantage of the hotel’s private car park and avoid having to pay high parking charges in a public car park.
positive:
Spacious rooms.
Many of the rooms at Park View House are spacious and can accommodate large groups of guests - great news if you are travelling with a number of friends or family. You’ll all be able share the costs of the room and have a bit of space to relax. However, based on some comments, not all the rooms are spacious with smaller rooms situated in an annexe.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Disappointing breakfast.
Breakfast doesn’t always go down well with guests. The main issues are a general lack of choice and hot options.
negative:
Uncomfortable beds.
The beds are described as being uncomfortable by a few guests. Also the pillows were sometimes lacking in comfort and quantity.
negative:
Hotel can get noisy at times.
It seems that this hotel is popular with sporting groups and stag/hen parties. Sometimes, this results in an increased level of noise from people talking loudly outside the hotel or in the corridors. Also, the walls don’t always block out noise from adjacent rooms very effectively.
