Positive Reviews
positive:
Dated but delectable
The building is old, but it doesn’t seem to prevent them from upgrading at every opportunity. That said, there’s nothing fancy here but, when compared with the competition, the prices and facilities represent excellent value. Seemingly constant upgrading results in new beds, flat-screen TV and nice clean rooms.
positive:
Hot tub highlight
There are impressive pool and hot tub areas. These serve to add to the attraction of the prospect of staying here on a reasonable budget.
positive:
Super staff
Members of staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Absentee breakfast
Don’t come here expecting to sample a relaxing breakfast that has been prepared for you. Breakfast isn’t on the menu! You do have your own kitchenette, of course – so the self-catering option is the only one that’s available on the premises.
negative:
Noise problems
Wafer thin walls, coupled with inconsiderate and noisy neighbouring guests, lead to a noisy and often sleepless night. Many people appear to be staying here long-term, so responsibility for noise might well be laid at their very busy doors. They can’t be blamed though for the noisy refuse truck which arrives noisily and very early each morning. Neither can they be blamed for the arguments which take place regularly in the car park.
negative:
Room limitations
Rooms are nicely furnished and decorated. There are very few power outlets though, very little storage space and the room area is quite cramped. Hopefully, the heating will be upgraded. Currently, it is unreliable, leading to the room being freezing cold during the winter months.
