Positive Reviews
positive:
New rooms with modern furnishings.
Novotel Saigon Centre is a modern hotel and the well appointed rooms here still feel quite new. The quality of the furnishings and appliances inside the rooms is high, and you get great city views if you stay on the upper floors.
positive:
Great central location to explore the city from.
Slap bang in the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, this hotel provides a fantastic place to base yourself while you explore the sights. Just head outside, flag down a cab and nowhere is too far.
positive:
The friendly staff here are helpful and courteous.
The standard of customer service you'll receive from the people working at this hotel is high, and nothing is too much of a problem. Room service is prompt and housekeeping runs like clockwork.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The meals in the restaurant are overpriced.
The hotel restaurant is a slight letdown, with a limited menu and prices that are expensive when compared to other nearby local eateries. Head out into the city to find better meals for less cash.
negative:
The free Wi-Fi on offer here is dismally slow.
One area that this hotel scores poorly is the Wi-Fi it provides. Trying to do simple things like read emails and load web pages can become a long-drawn-out affair. If you need to stay connected consider purchasing a cheap pre-paid data plan from a local telecom provider.
negative:
The rooms are a bit pokey and cramped.
The standard rooms at Novotel Saigon Centre are far from spacious, and if sharing a room you might find things a bit too cramped. There are options of executive rooms and suites but it will increase your bill.
