positive:
A perfect city location.
Whether you’re in Edinburgh on a work assignment and need a temporary place to call home, or you’re a tourist eager to take in all the sights or perhaps enjoy the Edinburgh Festival, the Nicolson Apartments are close to everything you need.
positive:
All the modern conveniences of home.
The apartments are thoughtfully equipped with full kitchens with washing machines, dishwashers and everything you need for cooking. You even get a starter pack of essentials such as milk, coffee, tea and water so you don’t need to rush out and shop straight away.
positive:
More economical than a hotel.
Considering that you get a lot of space and a kitchen, it’s cheaper to stay at the Nicolson Apartments than checking in to a hotel, especially if you need more than one bedroom. For families and long-stay guests in particular, these apartments offer valuable flexibility and comfort.
Negative Reviews
negative:
You check in at a different location.
There is no management office on site, so you have to check in and collect your key at the central office about a mile away in the city center. This can be less than convenient if you have a lot of luggage to carry, so it’s best to take a taxi there and have it wait for you before heading to the apartment building.
negative:
There can be street noise.
Being in a lively metropolis, if you’re on a lower floor or facing the street you will sometimes hear people passing by, trucks, buses, street sweepers and other sounds of the city. During the Edinburgh Festival, there can be additional noise from nearby Fringe events.
negative:
The Wi-Fi can be tricky.
Some guests have had trouble getting the Wi-Fi working on their devices, but fortunately, helpful staff are just a phone call away.
