Hotel New Hankyu Osaka is close to a number of places to eat and shop. The Umeda Sky Building is a 10-minute walk away and Hankyu Department Store is just a short stroll from the property. There are a host of attractions in the area and it feels like a thriving place.

As well as being in a good position to make the most of the local attractions, this hotel is also well placed if you want to venture further. You can get to Kyoto in about 30 minutes on the train. There is also an airport shuttle which picks up and drops off just outside the hotel.

The staff here are very attentive and will be professional, courteous and efficient throughout your stay. They ensure that the building is very clean at all times as well.

As is often the way with hotels in this part of the world, the guestrooms here are rather on the small side. Several previous guests have stated that they felt their room wasn't very sizeable and not perhaps indicative of the price they paid. If you are travelling with lots of luggage, things might feel very cramped.

The decor here is starting to feel quite tired and certain facilities are past their best. The air-conditioning units aren't very easy to control. A revamp would do the world of good.

Although guestrooms are apparently soundproofed, guests have noted that they experienced clearly audible noises coming from the corridors and from people in adjoining rooms.
