Positive Reviews
positive:
Opposite Waverley, on Princes, walk to old town.
Motel One Edinburgh-Princes occupies an enviable position, opposite Waverley Train Station, within an easy walk of the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle and other old town attractions, and right on Princes Street for shopping and dining.
positive:
Comfortable, clean, nice decor.
You will find the rooms here to be clean, well-equipped with great beds, good Wi-Fi and simple, but elegant decor. A few guests pointed out that they are not designed for those seeking luxury, but still very good.
positive:
Stand-out staff and continental breakfast.
The staff here was found to be friendly, efficient and very helpful, with great dining and destination suggestions for guests, and there was thought to be decent choice at the continental breakfast buffet, although a few went hunting for a fry-up instead.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No storage space, room a little small.
A small number of those who stayed at Motel One Edinburgh-Princes found it to be lacking in storage space, with no wardrobe in the room, and a few also found them to be too small for their liking. On the flipside, however, others found them to be nice and spacious.
negative:
One pillow per person.
Not everyone was a fan of the pillows, and also just one is supplied per person, so bring your own if you have fussy pillow preferences or just need some backup.
