Positive Reviews
positive:
An appetizing hotel … in every way.
Breakfast is really impressive and included in the price. Later meals are also varied and of good quality. The fact that ‘locals' come to dine here is testament to that fact. Another ‘plus' is the range of additional restaurants in the area - just in case there's nothing here that appeals to you.
positive:
Stunningly attractive and roomy rooms.
The hotel's rooms are surprisingly clean and well presented - given the very reasonable tariff. They are quiet - so particularly good for business people- and the upgrade with included Jacuzzi is a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. Rooms are spacious too, with lots of space to store luggage.
positive:
It's a great location.
There's easy access from Highways 404 and 401 plus, once you are here, there's no shortage of restaurant choices, as Tim Horton's, Wendy's and other eateries are an easy walk away.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A whiff of suspicion
So, are there dedicated non-smoking rooms or does the hotel shift them around depending upon the level of bookings and guest demands? Given the pungent smell of smoke in pre-booked non-smoking rooms … the latter seems most likely!
negative:
It's a great location … but
The hotel is very conveniently placed, although an expensive hike to the downtown district. Worse than that is the traffic noise. It never stops. The higher the floor, though, the less noise you get.
negative:
Don't go bust with a Monte Carlo breakfast.
The ‘freebie' breakfast is below basic in content and choice. Having lured you into the restaurant, their ploy is to tempt you with bacon, sausages and eggs, for just a few dollars more. Best advice is: go to the restaurant across the street. The service, choice and overall value is far better.
