Hotel Moderno (Venice, Italy)

The Hotel Moderno is ideal for budget travellers looking to stay in Venice. Previous guests reported that the rooms were clean and complete with all of the amenities needed. There were few complaints about the accommodations, guests were pleased with the cost.

The hotel is centrally located in an ideal area. Everything you could need during your stay is within walking distance to Piazzale Roma and many restaurants and shops all at the doorstep of the hotel. It is very close to the main train station and just minutes from the historic city centre.

The hotel service staff is very friendly and accommodating. Previous guests reported receiving free bottles of wine on birthdays and warm and welcoming wishes from the staff.

The hotel entrance is located at the end of a small one-metre alleyway between two buildings. There is only a small white sheet of paper that says the hotel name, so it may be easy to overlook. Several guests experienced issues initially locating the hotel and entering the reception area, as it located in a different building. Guests report that there are security cameras surrounding the property for your safety.

There is no lift service in the hotel. There is only a staircase which may be a problem for those with impaired mobility or those travelling with a lot of luggage.

Some guests reported an ability to hear some external street noise entering from the hotel windows.
