Hotel Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Saraland (Saraland, USA)

Guests absolutely loved the location of the hotel. Apart from the fact that there were plenty of shops and restaurants in the area, what really impressed them was the proximity to the interstate. It simply made their life so easy when heading into Mobile or elsewhere in the region.

Guests couldn’t quite believe that their room was actually a relative haven of peace and quiet. Before arriving they had expected the proximity of the interstate to mean that the rooms would be very noisy. They were happy to report that this was definitely not the case.

Guests generally felt that housekeeping had done a good job in cleaning the rooms before they checked in, and were acceptable when it came to daily servicing as well.

Many guests seemed to have a difficult time with the Wi-Fi. Some could not connect at all. Others could connect, but found the speed so slow they couldn’t manage even simple tasks like checking email. Others, still, were reluctant to connect since the network seemed insecure. All in all, it created a great deal of frustration.

It was near impossible to find a kind word written about the breakfast. Guest after guest mentioned something to the effect that there were very few food types to begin with and that even what was available was of the “plasticy” food-service kind.

A surprising number of guests were disappointed to find that the hotel has no pool. While many Microtel properties do have a pool, there is no indication in the hotel’s marketing materials that it has one. Guests were simply mentioning that their stay would have been much better if they could have taken a refreshing dip.
