Beer Spa is Not to be Missed.
Guests were amazed with the unique beer spa, found in the hotel's historic cellar. For an additional charge, this fun and fascinating concept has guests soaking in a wooden tub filled with beer, and allows them unlimited quantities of the good stuff during their adventurous spa foray. Needless to say, many guests were tickled pink.

Fabulous Rooms in History Brimmed Building.
Guests felt pampered in their swanky, clean and spacious rooms, with those upgrading to suites feeling especially spoiled with a spa bath and even a roof terrace. But it was the building itself that charmed guests the most, with its history evidenced at every corner. The hotel's courtyard is protected by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast May Disappoint.
While many guests enjoyed their breakfast, others were much less impressed, expecting better fare from a five star establishment. Descriptions included lack of selection, fruit that wasn't fresh, poor quality coffee, and a failure to replenish items as they ran out. The same fare was also served everyday.
negative:
Some Air Conditioning Woes.
Some guests had trouble getting their air conditioning units to work, which was upsetting on hot days when relief from the heat was much desired within the room. Others were told curtly by staff that air conditioning was simply not used at some times of year and had therefore been shut down accordingly.
negative:
Expect A Lot of Stairs.
Some guests were disappointed to discover that the advertised lift service did not pertain to all areas of the hotel, meaning several rooms could not be reached without the use of steep and narrow staircases. Getting down to breakfast in the cellar also involved the use of steep, spiralled staircases. This was an issue for some elderly guests, or those having difficulty walking.
