Positive Reviews
positive:
Pets are welcome.
It’s wonderful that pets are allowed at Mercure Paris Vélizy, especially if you like to travel with your favourite canine companion. Your dog will love it too, because this is such a dog-friendly place and there are so many great walks to be had just outside your door.
positive:
This is a non-smoking hotel.
This is a non-smoking property which is great if you don’t imbibe and like your accommodations smelling fresh rather than like stale, second-hand smoke.
positive:
The hotel is kid-friendly.
With family rooms, children’s activities and babysitting services available, this is a great choice when travelling with the whole family. There’s also an indoor pool to keep the kids entertained and a gigantic shopping mall located close by.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The restaurant is closed for lunch on the weekends.
Mercure Paris Vélizy only serves lunch Monday through Friday which can be a bit of a drag. Luckily, there are several places to dine nearby like Doddy’s Coffee which serves sandwiches and burgers.
negative:
The Wi-Fi is spotty.
The free Wi-Fi is rather unreliable and the signal is not strong, which can be problematic of you’re travelling for business or trying to stay connected on your devices. You can upgrade to paid Wi-Fi, which is expensive, but at least you can get reliable service. Also, the Internet reception is much better in the public spaces.
negative:
This hotel isn’t centrally located.
This property is not centrally located. It’s a 20-30 minute drive to Paris by car and a bit longer if you are travelling by means of public transportation, which can be a hassle if you are mainly interested in seeing the sights in the City of Lights.
