Hotel Mardi Gras Resort (Broadbeach, Australia)

Guests were very complimentary about the standard of cleaning at the hotel with many saying the rooms on check-in were spotless. Guests also commented that the pool water was very crisp and clear and had been well maintained by grounds keeping staff.

The hotel is located in the centre of Broadbeach with easy access to the Broadbeach Mall, Pacific Fair and Jupiter's Casino and guests commented that the location was perfect and that the apartment was priced well given its proximity to these attractions and the beach.

On arrival guests were pleasantly surprised by the space in the units with many saying that they thought the units were very big. Guests also raved about the comfortable beds and pillows commenting that they had a very comfortable sleep on.

Guests were disappointed that the spa had obviously seen better days and that it did not work as it should, with some complaining that it was not hot enough and even when it did heat up, it did not maintain its heat for long.

Guests were disappointed that fixtures and fittings in the apartments had been neglected noticing that there were no screens on the windows, doors would not shut properly and that unidentified odours were present.

Guests commented that the unit was showing the wear and tear befitting its age, with reviewers singling out the rusty and old air conditioning units which in some cases did not work or struggled to cool down the apartment. Guests also complained that there was no air conditioning in the bedrooms.
