Hotel Mantra Marina (Queenstown, New Zealand)

The hotel is close to the city centre, about a four minute drive away and for guests the convenient location was the best part of their stay as they could zip into town to visit popular restaurants and bars.

By far the most commented feature of this hotel was the views that it offers from lakeside apartments which were enjoyed by guests, with most describing the panoramic views as simply stunning.

Previous guests to the hotel were really happy with the service that they received with many leaving positive comments about staff and teams that they encountered during their stay. It seems that that nothing was too much trouble for the staff to accommodate.

A common complaint across reviews was about the stained carpets and shabby curtains in the hotel rooms which some said gave it a tatty appearance which could easily be fixed if management replaced or repaired these items.

Guests commented that they felt that the rooms were a little small for the price paid compared to hotel rooms in and around the area.  Guests left tips for future guests to reserve an apartment facing the lake rather than a hotel room which faces the highway providing disappointing views and limited amenity compared to the apartments which attracted positive reviews.

Guests wanting a peaceful nights' sleep were disappointed that they were disturbed by the noise coming from the adjacent rooms because of a lack of soundproofing between the walls.  Guests also commented that there was a fair amount of road noise which also contributed to the disruption.
