Mandawa Haveli is an architectural jewel, a mystic magic of post-medieval era, located near landmark Sonthaliya Gate in Mandawa town of Shekhawati region in north east of Rajasthan. This area served as a trade route between Delhi and Gujarat and Silk route between China and Middle East. Traders used this route to take Silk and bring in dry fruits and spices. With the arrival of British merchants, they began to take route through Calcutta and other ports. They returned with there richness and power to Shekhawati and built huge mansions & havelies. Mandawa Haveli, a typical mansion dating from 1890 is associated with one of the leading merchant families of the town.
