While reviews of the staff were a bit mixed, the owner is described as very hands-on, leading from the front by being very welcoming initially, and more than willing to help his guests at other times as well.

Whatever other small problems guests had with their rooms, cleanliness certainly wasn't one of them. Pretty much every guest bringing up the subject of cleanliness was remarking how extraordinarily clean their room was on check-in.

While some did take issue with the location of the hostel, most seemed to accept the somewhat out of the way spot as a small price to pay to get a great room-rate. It seemed that the overwhelming majority of guests were very satisfied with the value for money received.

It was hard to find a good word written about the breakfast. Guests were nearly unanimous in saying that it was a rather lacklustre affair, and they were glad it was not actually included in their room-rate. That way they could simply forego it for a better option at a nearby café.

Guests could go either way on this question. To some the somewhat remote location was fine, since there were good transport links into the heart of the city. Others were not so forgiving and would have felt much better at a hostel where they could walk to many of the sights.

While it seemed to be more or less OK during the day, guests mentioned that there were a lot of drunks, and perhaps homeless people, in the area. Many did not feel comfortable walking in the area at night.
