Modern rooms with a view
Many guests find the recently renovated rooms to be modern and inviting, with very comfortable beds. Several guests have commented on the motion detector lights that illuminate the floor should you get up in the middle of the night, a truly thoughtful and well appreciated detail. Few guests on upper floors fail to mention the stunning views of the city or river.
positive:
Friendly, helpful staff
The front desk staff have received many rave reviews for their pleasant and professional customer service, with many guests able to provide examples of team members who went "above and beyond" to resolve an issue or fulfill a special request.
positive:
Good downtown location
Business travelers appreciate that the hotel is so close to the Statehouse Convention Center, while vacationing guests enjoy the short walk to the riverfront and Saturday Market. Many guests also visit the Clinton Presidential Library while they are staying at the Marriott Little Rock, as it is less than a mile away.
Negative Reviews
negative:
On the wish list..
Several guests were quick to list the "missing" amenities in this Marriott hotel in comparison with other Marriott locations. There are no fridges, microwaves, or furniture with drawers in the guest rooms, and the property does not feature a pool. Business travelers also wished for a more 'traditional' business center, as opposed to the computers and printer in the lobby area.
negative:
Mandatory valet parking..
Several guests were irritated to find that there is no alternative to valet parking on site, which is widely considered pricey though in step with the going rate for parking in downtown Little Rock.
negative:
Technical difficulties and housekeeping issues..
Some guests found the free Wi-Fi too slow or otherwise unreliable for their purposes. Another unlucky group had housekeeping oversights to report.
