This was by far what guests most enjoyed about the property. Most were in town for a bit of a city break, and given the central location this is exactly what they got. They described the hotel as being in the very heart of the bustling city, with its street life and nightlife all around them.
Many guests commented on the room rates available at this hotel, saying that they were exceptionally low. While they did mention that the standard of the hotel did fit the rates, they felt that due to the fantastic central location the low room rates really resulted in excellent value for money.
The overwhelming majority of guests said that the front desk staff were a credit to the hotel, and were not only friendly and welcoming, but also offered top class assistance when it came to arranging tours or suggesting attractions to visit.
Guests found that they couldn't have their cake and eat it, in that the great central location resulted in the problem of excessive noise. Guests said that the streets outside the hotel were busy night and day and that the noise generated down there could easily be heard up in their rooms.
Many guests indicated that the marketing pictures to be found on the web were a bit misleading. To their mind, they had either been taken a long time ago or the rooms have aged remarkably fast. They reckoned that they were now looking a bit shabby and were in desperate need of a makeover.
