Summer visitors can enjoy the outdoor pool, while those looking for a proper workout at any time of year have the use of a fully equipped fitness centre. Nearby Whistler Village has a great selection of dining options. The main attraction is of course the mountains rising up above. Summer guests should bring along their mountain bikes for some of the best trails in Canada, while winter guests will not need to be reminded to bring along ski’s and boards. Those looking for the village life will find Whistler Village just 0.7 miles from Le Chamois.
Guests were clearly very impressed with the location of the hotel. Winter guests loved that it was so close to the lifts, meaning that they could get a bit of a head-start on the crowds every morning. Guests travelling at any time of year liked that Whistler Village, with its bars, cafes and other amenities, was just a short stroll away.
Guest after guests commented on the service provided by the reception staff. They reported that they offered a warm and genuine welcome and had the sort of friendly nature than made them easy to approach with a query or concern.
Many guests commented on the size of their room, with pretty much all saying that they were unusually spacious. They certainly didn't feel as if the hotel was cramming guests into tiny spaces to maximise occupancy.
A number of guests complained that the check in and out times did not really favour guests at all. The check in time was said to be very late and the check out time very early, leading some to feel cheated out of time they had booked and paid for.
Guests staying through the whole of summer 2016 were disappointed that the pool was closed, presumably for repairs. Given the number of months it was closed, future guests are advised to check with the hotel to make sure it has been reopened before committing.
Many guests reported that their room was looking very much the worse for wear. It had clearly been some time since it was last renovated and they believed it was definitely due for one right away.
