Friendly service from staff
The majority of previous guests have commented favourably about the staff here. The property is not without issues but the service doesn't generally appear to be one of them. On the contrary, guests find the staff is typically friendly and helpful.
positive:
Lots of on-site activities
Guests tend to be pleased with the selection of facilities on offer. They are not perfect - the pool, for example, is a little on the small side but there is something to suit most tastes, especially people who like to be active on holiday.
positive:
Good choice for Sunday lunch
Feedback for Laburnum House indicates that the on-site restaurant is a popular spot for a Sunday lunch. The food is often described as being of a good standard and is also found to be reasonably priced.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Various issues with rooms
Although some guests find the rooms spacious and comfortable, it seems that they are not of the same standard throughout. Other guests find the accommodation is shabby and dated and, in some cases, dirty with multiple cobwebs, musty smells and mould issues.
negative:
Property needs sprucing up
The rooms are not the only area that could do with some attention. Guests, although impressed by the selection of facilities, are often of the impression that maintenance could be much improved in the shared areas and the grounds.
negative:
Breakfast may disappoint
Although guests tend to enjoy the Sunday lunch here, some were less impressed by the quality of the breakfast. A number of guests found the cost a little too high while others were disappointed by the standard of the food and the choice of items available.
