Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent position
Guests seemed to feel that the hotel's position offered the best of all possible worlds. They were very close to the highways, so it was easy to find the hotel and get around, but still relatively close to downtown Cheyenne. They liked that it was just a short drive to all the attractions in the city center.
positive:
Cheap prices
Though guests were reluctant to conclude that the hotel offered good value, because of numerous issues they identified, they did say that the room rates seemed to be very low. They reckoned that if all one wanted was a cheap place to stay, with no bells or whistles, it may be acceptable.
positive:
Comfy beds
It seemed that most guests commenting on bed comfort felt that the mattresses used were very comfortable. Due to variation in human taste it is difficult to get much agreement on this matter, but the hotel looks to have done well here by selecting a mattress with broad appeal.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Significant cleanliness issues
While there were one or two compliments for the housekeeping staff, the overwhelming majority of guests were very unhappy about the state of cleanliness of their room. The specific problems were extensive, but some were serious enough that guests refused to stay in the room and checked in elsewhere instead.
negative:
Breakfast much too basic
While guests did appreciate having it available, the breakfast was described as being too simple and basic to excite any guest, and certainly insufficient to satisfy cowboys and cowgirls.
negative:
Looking the worse for wear
It wasn't only cleanliness that guests identified as an issue. They also felt strongly that the hotel was looking very shabby, both inside and out. It was said to be many, many years past its due date for a full and thorough refurbishment.
