Hotel La Quinta by Wyndham Tampa Bay Area-Tampa South (Tampa, USA)

Going by guest comments, it seems that the hotel has very recently completed a major renovation. Guests clearly approve of the design scheme used, calling it modern and trendy. It seemed to have given them a feeling of staying in a hotel much more expensive that it actually was.

Going through the reviews, one loses count of how many times guests compliment the staff. While they were said to be very welcoming and friendly, it seems it was their helpfulness that really impressed. Guests mentioned that staff members went above and beyond when they had sought their advice or recommendations.

A couple of guests expressed their amazement at the fact that their room was actually pretty quiet. The hotel is on a busy road, so they had perhaps expected a bit of noise from cars passing by.

It was hard to find a kind word written about the breakfast. About the most positive sentiment expressed was that it was “OK”. It is a very simple continental spread and guests simply felt that there was not enough variety on offer to generate much enthusiasm.

Though not mentioned often, it was pointed out that the parking lot is a bit small. Some found it difficult to find an empty spot when returning to the hotel.

While pet-owners did appreciate the very pet-friendly policies, it was mentioned that the hotel grounds were not all that suitable for those with dogs. There really was nowhere suitable to walk dogs or play fetch.
