Hotel La Quinta by Wyndham Lakeland West (Lakeland, USA)

Guests really seemed to like the fact that there were a number of dining options within short waking and driving distance. Most were part of national chains, so guests tended to know what to expect when deciding on a restaurant to visit.

It seems that many of the guests were very much on the move. Some were visiting attractions as distant as Walt Disney World. They definitely appreciated the fact that the hotel was so close to an I-4 on-ramp. It helped them save time by not having to negotiate busy city streets before speeding along the highway to their destination.

Going by guest comments, it was clear that they were very happy with the size of their rooms. They felt they had enough space to stretch out and didn't tend to get in the hair of their partner since there was enough room for all.

Several guests complained about noise, both from within the building and from the outside. The hotel is very near I-4 and guests with highway facing rooms said they could clearly hear the cars and trucks passing by, especially at night. Other guests reported that the walls were “paper thin” and that sound seemed to pass unhindered from room to room.

It was hard to find a really kind word written about the breakfast. Guests appreciated having it available, but felt it contained too little variety to be truly satisfying.

An extraordinary number of guests mentioned that they had several cleanliness issues with their room on check-in. Mold in the bathroom was the most common complaint, but there were other issues as well.
