Positive Reviews
positive:
Quiet, yet well connected location...
Guests like the hotel's location on a quiet residential side street, and few fail to mention that the metro and Gare du Nord (which offers a direct train to CDG) are a five-minute walk. The Seine is a 25-minute walk, and there are many restaurants and shops within a comfortable walking distance as well.
positive:
Good beds and breakfast
Many guests enjoy a sound night's rest in the very comfortable beds, and describe the rooms as simply decorated and well maintained. The variety on offer at continental breakfast also pleases many hungry travellers, and the freshly squeezed orange juice is particularly popular.
positive:
Friendly, bilingual staff...
The front desk staff receive many excellent reviews for their friendly, helpful customer service. International travellers are relieved to find the team also fluent in English, and pleased to share their local knowledge.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very petite rooms...
Given the hotel's central location and price range, most guests are not surprised by the rooms' modest size, though some find them uncomfortably so, particularly the bathrooms. Rooms on the top floor have an inclined ceiling.
negative:
Stay away from the elevator...
The mechanical noise has disrupted the sleep of guests in rooms closest to it. Guests have also noted the sound insulation between rooms is adequate provided your neighbours are considerate with their volume.
negative:
Slippery when wet...
Guests are aggravated by the shower design in some (possibly all) of the bathrooms, which does not feature a full door or curtain, resulting in a wet floor and even wet carpet in the bedroom area over time.
