Not too far from the city
If you're looking to avoid the chaos of the city, staying at the hotel is a great to remove yourself from the bustle without being too far away. The hotel is about 25 miles from the city and close to lots of local attractions in Schaumburg and on Chicago's North Side.
positive:
Great for business or pleasure
Roughly ten miles from Chicago-O'Hare International Airport, the hotel is a great stop over if you're traveling in the region, here on business, or simply enjoying the Chicagoland area. You'll stay fed with Fresh 1800's locally sourced meals and well connected to contacts or family and friends via Wi-Fi.
positive:
In-hotel Starbucks
Not only do rooms at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg Hotel feature coffee makers, but you'll also have access to Starbucks coffee at the Fresh Coffee Bar. This means whenever you crave a cappuccino or mocha, all you'll have to do is walk down to the lobby.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A fridge or microwave could be useful
With a vast array of activities around the hotel, including an excellent selection of shops and restaurants, some guests felt it would have been nice to include a small refrigerator or microwave in the room for storing and reheating leftovers.
negative:
Less than ideal soundproofing
Although certainly inevitable that families with young children will stay at hotels, some guests of the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg Hotel found the walls were too thin to adequately block the noise from lively kids, as well as the general racket from other guests and from outside.
negative:
Rooms could use an update
Most visitors to the hotel found it a restful environment with clean, comfortable rooms. However, other visitors felt the rooms—especially the worn-out beds, older looking carpets, and décor—were in need of touching up or refurbishing.
