Hotel Hodelpa Centro Plaza (Santiago, Dominican Republic)

The breakfast was found to be a good morning meal by many guests. There was fresh fruit and drinks, as well as hot items and beverages, in a varied buffet service.

The reception staff do their jobs well and checked people in efficiently. It was nice to ask capable staff questions that would be answered during their stay. They helped guests with a smile.

Many guests enjoyed the hotel’s location in the center of town. It was close to many places in the downtown area and no car was needed to head there. There was also a casino on-site and a close shopping district which was nice to have for guests.

The rooms were found to be noisy by guests who heard the city noises as if they were inside the rooms. It was one of the noisiest cities for some and the walls needed some good quality soundproofing. They recommend rooms away from the street.

The Wi-Fi was found to be poor or non-existent by guests. They felt the Wi-Fi was not good enough to surf the Internet and were annoyed this amenity was not provided properly.

Guests were surprised to find the rooms were on the small side. They would have liked for the rooms to have more space to move around. The price paid for the space was not worth it for guests who were expecting more and they state that the online photos were deceptive.
