Hluhluwe River Lodge is a intimate lodge of only 13 rooms situated in an indigenous forest setting with a swimming pool and fully catered restaurant and entertainment facility. Accommodation consists of en suite thatched chalets separately located around the central restaurant and entertainment area which has a beautiful view of Lake St Lucia. The lodge is centrally located to the game reserves and coastal attractions which are less than a 1 hour drive from the lodge making it an ideal place to base oneself while exploring the area. There are two family rooms which sleep 2 adults and 2 children (up to 12 years old ) and there are 8 standard 2 sleeper rooms. In addition 2 Luxury suites are available for honeymooners or anyone seeking a bigger and more private room. Mkhulus House is a self catering guesthouse that sleeps 4 adults. Safari activities can be booked on arrival and the area boasts a variety of self guided walking trails that are safe and suited to all ages and abilities. Meals are served on the outside terrace most evenings and the lodge prides itself in serving excellent meals and a substantial wine list. Breakfast and light lunches are also on offer
