Dating back to 1907, Historic Tamarack Lodge & Cabins offers rustic lodgings on the doorstep of Flathead National Forest. Guests can stay in log cabins and enjoy access to the lodge itself. Accommodations range from motel-style units for two to large cabins capable of hosting ten guests. All units include a private bathroom, satellite TV, coffee-maker, refrigerator, and microwave. Larger rooms and cabins also include a full kitchen and living space. Some also boast private charcoal grills. The lodge features a lounge library and gift shop, while travellers can relax in the Great Room. Outside, a firepit and covered pavilion are accessible, as are volleyball, horseshoes, and badminton. Guests may also wish to visit the lodge’s Peace Pole and resident llama. Off the Beaten Path, the lodge restaurant, serves breakfast and dinner, while drinks are available from the saloon and coffee bar. Communal barbecue and picnic facilities are provided. Historic Tamarack Lodge & Cabins is ten minutes’ drive from the entrance to Glacier National Park and Lake McDonald.
