Hotel Hilton Garden Inn Independence (Independence, USA)

Guests clearly liked the location of the hotel. They described it as just off the I-70, which of course made it convenient when arriving and also when using it as a base for trips in the region. Guests also mentioned the proximity to some great shopping and dining.

The overwhelming majority of guests were very impressed with the hotel’s staff. They were said to be very friendly, and always willing to try to help their guests out were they could. This was true not only of the front desk staff, but others as well.

Many guests mentioned that they were impressed with the look and design of the hotel throughout; from the beautiful gardens and approach, to the attractive lobby and other public areas all the way to the stylish rooms.

Quite a number of guests were disappointed with the beds in the two-bed rooms. They reported that they were only double sized, rather than queen sized. Since they were very unused to sleeping in beds so small, they felt a little uncomfortable in them.

Several guests reported that the water pressure in the building, or at the very least in their room, was very low. Of course this resulted in a shower that was not so much a shower as a weak stream of warm water.

A number of guests were disappointed with the hotel’s breakfast. For a start, many were unhappy that it was not complimentary, as it would be at may other similar hotels. Secondly, they thought it was expensive and poor value considering.
