Hôtel Lancaster Paris Champs-Elysées (Paris, France)

For obvious reasons, you can't give a first impression twice and, for the majority of visitors to the hotel, it would be entirely unnecessary in any case. Staff are friendly, warm and welcoming and the concierge team, in particular, are praised for their professionalism and ability to secure the best dinner reservations and tickets in the City.

With the Avenue des Champs-Elysée on its doorstep, the Arc de Triomphe a short stroll away, and the vast majority of the top attractions and luxury boutiques in Paris within easy reach, the Lancaster holds an enviable location in Paris's 8th district.

Previous guests frequently remark on the unique nature of the Lancaster; set in an 8 storey townhouse and often referred to as a 'small palace', it is a one-of-a-kind. Many compliment it on its ability to be luxurious yet unpretentious, with understated elegance.

Some guests have suggested that, while the hotel is undoubtedly charming, the décor in places requires attention and that it, perhaps, feels more 'old' than 'antique' in places.

Previous guests have, on occasion, experienced noise disturbance. Rooms close to elevators, maids closets and above the restaurant are, apparently, the ones most affected, although guests in other parts of the hotel have suggested that the problem comes down to poor sound insulation.

As you would expect from a five-star hotel, staying at the Lancaster is not a budget option. However, some guests state that they feel it is overpriced for the accommodation offered and that certain items, such as; bar drinks, breakfast and dinner in the (undeniably excellent) restaurant are prohibitively expensive.
