Hôtel Clairefontaine (Paris, France)

Guests loved being able to walk directly to and from the train station without much hassle. The short distance allowed them to rely on public transit, and was an added convenience to their stay.

Many weary travellers noted that certain areas of the city can be a bit sketchy, so they were thrilled to find that this was not the case with Hotel Clairefontaine. The hotel is situated in a clean, safe area, and is even next door to a police station.

Previous guests were impressed the the mattresses in the guest rooms, which they described as being very comfortable.

There is no air conditioner in the room, nor is there an in-room safe, and the three floor hotel does not have an elevator. While some guests took this in stride, others were displeased by the lack of amenities, and claimed that they could have received more for less money elsewhere.

Though some guests experienced no issues using the Wi-Fi during their stay, many said that it was not working at all. Based on reviews, it would seem that the Wi-Fi is frequently down, and that service is not restored in a hurry.

The rooms are arranged in a horseshoe shape around an open air courtyard where guests like to congregate and smoke. Some guests can the misfortune of staying at a time where the courtyard dwellers got rather out of hand, and the noise carried over to their rooms. Some, non-smoking guests also did not appreciated having people smoking so close to their room.
