Hotel Gravity Haus Steamboat (Steamboat Springs, USA)

The inn’s location right next to the gondola was greatly appreciated by visitors who were in the area to hit the slopes. The ski-in, ski-out nature of the hotel was very convenient, and the on-site ski rental shop and free equipment valet was greatly appreciated.

Guests overwhelmingly agreed that the hotel’s price is impossible to beat for the excellent mountain location near ski slopes and Steamboat Springs. Reviewers stated that compared to other establishments in the area, this hotel represents the best value.

Along with the convenient location, people enjoyed the hotel grounds and common facilities. The outdoor pool and hot tub were said to be nice and relaxing, and the on-site restaurant fare was good and reasonably priced.

Many guests reported problems in their rooms such as poor climate control, hard beds with stained sheets, small bathrooms and showers, thin walls, and spotty Wi-Fi. Others added that the daily housekeeping was not very thorough.

The hotel property has not been updated in decades and is showing its age. Visitors noted worn fixtures, crumbling concrete and plaster, and tired decor from the ‘80’s. People commented that their rooms even contained old tube TVs and VCRs, adding to the overall dated and run-down feel of the place.

A number of reviewers found that the hotel staff seemed less than enthusiastic about their duties and were not particularly helpful when problems arose. Employees were often said to be disinterested in solving issues and lacking in professionalism.
