Inconsistent meals
From the less-than-exciting breakfast at the Café to the spotty service and missing menu items at The Cabin, several guests have mentioned a lack of consistency with the hotel's foodservice. Still, it does offer a decent variety of options, and there are numerous restaurants in nearby Steamboat Springs.
negative:
Paid parking
Even with luxuriant amenities and incredible sights, guests of the hotel have mentioned one perk they'd enjoy as well—free parking. As is the parking is pay-per-night, but at least it's on-site, secure, and still fairly reasonable.

Could use an update
Rooms at the Steamboat Grand Hotel, while comfy and spacious, have seen better days according to some previous visitors. A touch of modernization and an updated décor could go a long way towards improving the hotel's overall feel.
