Distressed and dirty rooms
The rooms at the Grand Inn, in the opinion of many former guests, are dated and contain worn down furnishings and amenities. In addition, a number of grievances have been aimed at the accommodations with regards to their supposed lack of cleanliness. Bedbugs, for example, were a problem on more than one occasion.

A worrying amount of past visitors to the hotel had a problem with the soundproofing of the rooms. The reportedly poor insulation from sound means that noise from both outside and others staying at the accommodation can be disruptive.
