Positive Reviews
positive:
Convenient for central Paris attractions.
It's only a couple of minutes walk to La Sorbonne and 10 to Saint Michel and Notre Dame! There are three metros to choose from and they are also just a short walk away. No shortage of restaurants in the immediate area either.
positive:
A clean, ‘budget', hotel with spacious rooms.
Rooms are comfortable, clean and for the most part, spacious. If you are here ‘en famille', there'll be no moans about lack of space. Bearing in mind the highly sought after area, the hotel is remarkably cheap - and very good value. Breakfast is an extra but you aren't limited to the hotel. Try Tabac de la Sorbonne, just round the corner ...delicieux!
positive:
‘French Without Tears'.
The reception area is warm and welcoming, check in is easy and staff members respond quickly to any queries. No dramas, just prompt and friendly attention. Early arrivals can store luggage whilst waiting for the room to become available - but, the store is not covered by any security.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A bit on the ‘petit' side.
Rooms can be quite small here; also the corridors - and you do wonder what would happen if there was an emergency evacuation of the building. There's no lift either, so the problem with the corridor manifests itself on the stairs as well.
negative:
Worried about the electrics
There's an intermittent power supply to the room which can - and does - damage any chargers that you may want to plug in. Maybe this is the reason why some bight spark administrator decided to exclude a room refrigerator?!
negative:
A bit of a noise problem.
Staying in the middle of Paris, you must expect an element of night noise… and here it is!
