Hotel Gaskell Arms (Much Wenlock, United Kingdom)

The cooked to order breakfast at this hotel is superb and seems to be large enough that it will see you right through to the evening meal. There are also decent continental and vegetarian options too which come as a surprise to some.

The bar is a lovely place to sit and relax for a few hours in the afternoon or the evening, and there's a lot of beers and ales to choose from. The staff are friendly too, and it's nice for lone travellers to have someone to chat to.

Much Wenlock is a great place to visit and is very convenient to Ironbridge. This hotel is in an ideal location as you can walk to anywhere in the town within a few minutes. A very nice hotel in a peaceful and scenic little town.

If you like old-fashioned places, then this could be an ideal spot for you. But many guests aren't too happy that the rooms are somewhat dated and that the electrical appliances hum throughout the night. It's not really good value considering the high price.

Guests don't expect to be woken up by early morning traffic in this hotel, but it is located on a busy corner with traffic lights. The cars stop at the lights, and the noise filters its way through to the rooms which isn't ideal in this country setting.

The rooms and the food in the restaurant are said to be a little overpriced. Guests feel that even though the food is delicious, there are cheaper options nearby that have food that is just as tasty. It's a little annoying to feel that you have overpaid.
