Positive Reviews
positive:
Unbeatable beachfront position
It was undoubtedly the hotel's prime position, right on the beach, that guests most enjoyed about their stay at Hotel Elimar. Whatever other problems they had with the hotel, its position certainly wasn't one, since they could simply cross the promenade and be right on a gorgeous beach.
positive:
Patient and helpful staff
While there were one or two contrary opinions, the overwhelming majority of guests found the staff to be a joy to deal with. They were said to be good all round, but several guests highlighted their patience when helping them with their query or issue.
positive:
Access to private beach club
Guests mentioned that the hotel maintains a few sun loungers and other facilities on the beach right out front. Though one needed to pay extra for a sun lounger there, guests felt that it was good value, and preferable to lying directly on the sand.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Food not the best
It seemed there were almost no positive comments concerning the food to be found. Guests on full or half board packages were most unhappy, since they believed they were stuck dining in a restaurant that was said to produce sub-standard food.
negative:
Limited facilities available
A couple of guests mentioned that there really weren't many facilities in the hotel. There was the gym, which they did appreciate, but that was said to be pretty much the only public facility of note. There is no pool at the hotel.
negative:
Not many English TV stations
Like many mid-range hotels in Spain, guests report that the Elimar subscribes to a TV package that includes only a few English language stations, usually (depressing) news channels. Guests would have liked a bit more variety available.
