Although not as close to the downtown area as its name suggests (it's a 20-minute walk) guests love the location of this hotel. There are great shopping, dining, and entertainment options in the immediate area. Plus, you can walk to Music Row to check out the city's dive bars in about 15 minutes.

Guests frequently rate the free breakfast served at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown/The Gulch as above average. The food is fresh and there is a sufficient choice of available items. The breakfast staff is attentive to the needs of guests and keep food refilled as appropriate.

The hotel is often described as offering contemporary surroundings that are pleasing to the eye. The style can be seen throughout the hotel and also in the property's rooms and suites, which are also described as clean, comfortable, and well maintained.

While there's little denying the appeal of the view from the hotel's rooftop bar, several guests mention that the bar is small and the cocktails are somewhat overpriced. Thankfully, you won't be short of alternative bars in this area.

It appears that a heavily used train line runs along one side of the hotel and it seems that the train drivers aren't adverse to honking their horns in the early morning and late evening. It's worth asking for a room on the Division Street side if you feel this will bother you.

Although many guests appreciate that paid parking is pretty much par for the course in a downtown location, others were a little disappointed by the extra daily cost. It's not excessive but something you'll need to leave room for in your budget nonetheless.
