Positive Reviews
positive:
Ideally located
The Holiday Inn Express Nashville-Downtown provides the perfect setting for many guests. Located just outside of the downtown area, it places many iconic attractions within walking distance, yet is far enough away to allow many guests to conclude the hotel is shielded from much of the street noise. Plus, great shopping at Opry Mills is less than 20 minutes away by car.
positive:
Reasonable quality rooms
Rooms at the hotel don't escape criticism entirely, but the issues raised appear to be relatively minor. For the most part, guests find the rooms offer an acceptable standard of accommodation. The levels of comfort and cleanliness are reasonable and the Wi-Fi works well.
positive:
Good value
Although a few guests found the rates here a little steep, they did agree that the cost was on a par with similarly located hotels. Plus, you won't need to find room in your trip budget for essentials like breakfast, Internet access, and local transportation.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking costs extra
Although it's fairly normal for a downtown hotel in any area to charge extra for parking, this additional fee is a source of frustration for some guests, especially since it's not particularly cheap. Over a longer stay, the cost of parking can add a fair amount to your final bill.
negative:
Disappointing aspects to breakfast
Many guests enjoyed the quality of the food served on the breakfast buffet. Feedback also suggests that you won't have to put up with long queues. However, a number of guests were surprised and disappointed to have to use paper plates and plastic cutlery.
negative:
Service could be improved
Not every guest encounters a problem with the service on offer, but enough do to warrant some concern. Reported problems include waiting hours for a baby crib, special rates not being honored, and a general lack of attentiveness.
