Downtown Chicago is reached within an hour's drive and Gurnee Mills (with the popular outlet mall) can be enjoyed within a half hour. Quiet and tastefully arranged with chic amenities and an impressive collection of movies to watch in your room. The daily breakfast with omelet bar and evening reception are generally well-received with a varied selection both hot and cold items. The pool is spacious with plenty of towels and the hot tub is delightful. The gym offers well-maintained, contemporary equipment sufficient for an adequate traveler's workout. A free shuttle provides transport throughout a three-mile radius if a driver is on-site (- if not, they'll arrange a cab.) Those scheduling for groups and events are treated to stellar venues here with professional planning. Handicapped-accessibility is optimal with superb accommodations.

Most bragged about how pristine their rooms were, with only the occasional complaint being followed by an immediate upgrade. Large, well-appointed and pleasant. The room service meals are worth trying also.

Welcoming and friendly, this staff receives high praises all around, with notable applause for the efficient enthusiasm of the wait staff at Cadwell's Grill. The front desk won't let you suffer with heavy bags; just give them a shout and they'll carry your luggage in or out for you.

Some received free Wi-Fi with their room rates; others complained about having to pay. Access codes are required to be entered at every log-in attempt, and connectivity is extremely poor.

Some felt the breakfast was nothing to rave about and ingredients could have been fresher.

Loud events and thin walls make for easily disturbed guests; bring your earplugs.
