Incredibly comfy beds
The reviews describe how comfortable the beds are and how spacious the rooms are for the price you pay. Some have been recently renewed. A selection of rooms have extra large double beds and feather filled pillows.

The bar as well as the restaurant is very popular with previous guests and the locals. There are real fires and the owners have made an effort to decorate the rooms with memorabilia from around the world to add to the character of the building.
The water pressure in the showers appears to have issues. Many previous guests have explained they have been very disappointed with the shower and nothing can be done about the issue whilst staying.
Some of the reviews regarding the restaurant explain the food has come out cold and they have even been served frozen chips to say its meant to be an AA four star restaurant.
As the hotel was added onto the restaurant they do not have some of the mod cons others do. They have no elevator or air con unfortunately so cases need to be lifted up the stairs and there are no ground floor rooms.
