Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent atmosphere created by owners and staff
It was not simply that guests felt that the staff were welcoming, friendly and served their needs, which they did; but more than that they thought that the owners set the tone and created a wonderful attitude of camaraderie among guests and staff alike.
positive:
Ample on-site parking
It seems a lot of guests staying at the hotel were attending functions at the NEC, or locations in greater Birmingham. They were very pleased to report that the hotel had loads of on-site parking, so they never struggled to find a spot when returning from a hard days work and networking.
positive:
Excellent food all round
Both guests who only had breakfast at the hotel, as well as those who dined there for lunch and dinner as well, both raved about the food. They said that no only was the food excellent, but the wait staff were the height of professionalism and friendliness.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Single rooms are a bit small
A couple of guests who had booked a single room commented that they were very small, even smaller than they had expected for a single. In any event, they were a little disappointed at the size, so single travellers who like their space are advised to book a double instead.
negative:
Breakfast served limited hours
A couple of guests mention that breakfast is only served limited hours, 8:00AM to 9:15 AM. This created two problems for them. Firstly it meant everyone was eating at the same time, creating too much pressure on the staff. Secondly, late risers were left high, dry and very hungry.
negative:
Maybe a little pricey
It was difficult to find substantive negative reviews for Drayton Court. A few guests did question value for money, saying that they found their room-rate quite pricey.
