positive:
Fully equipped kitchen area
The kitchen area is fully equipped and is sufficient to prepare a decent meal. There are two stovetops, mini-fridges, microwaves and other basic room amenities that are totally in your disposal. However, kitchen areas are only available on upgraded suites, so do not hesitate to spend a few more dollars.
positive:
Nice pool and beach facilities
At the back of the establishment, there are two pools, a hot tub and a small children's pool. The beach is also a short walk away. The pools had ample chairs, tables, umbrellas, and water toys available for free, as well as clean towels. Moreover, all of these amenities are well maintained.
positive:
Friendly and accommodating staffs
Days Inn & Suites Jekyll Island's staff members have a reputation for being friendly and accommodating. Thus, asking them for instructions and request should not be problematic and intimidating. Furthermore, they will not hesitate to go the extra mile to help you with any of your concerns.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms smell of smoke
Some rooms, even if labeled as non-smoking, still smell of cigarette smoke. This could be a big trouble for guests having breathing difficulties or lung diseases. Remember that you can demand for a room transfer when you're not satisfied with your accommodation.
negative:
Some payments are mishandled
Make sure that you are familiar with all the products and services you are paying for. Upon checking out, some of the guests were surprised that their fees were higher than expected. Moreover, there seems to be a problem with payment via credit cards as well.
negative:
Poor Wi-Fi connection
Wi-Fi connection is provided free of charge, but many guests complained that it is slow and unreliable. Supporting multiple devices is impossible. However, you can always bring your pocket Wi-Fi, or visit a nearby shop that offers free Internet connections.
