In desperate need of renovation
This was by far the most common, and most serious, complaint. Guests didn’t just think that the decor was old fashioned, they felt that the whole property was looking very shabby. In their mind, it was clear that it had not been properly maintained over the years, and now needed a full renovation to be brought up to a reasonable standard.

Pool not open
A large number of guests traveling in summer were bitterly disappointed to find that the hotel’s pool was not open and/or in an acceptable state. Guests mentioned that it was full of slime, while some also mentioned a tarp being pulled across it. They felt it was false advertising, since the pool was mentioned in the hotel’s marketing materials.

Very poor breakfast
Guests really did not think much of the complimentary breakfast offered at the hotel. For a start, they found it much too limited in variety to generate much enthusiasm. Secondly, even the foods that were offered were said to be poorly prepared and presented.
