Remote but close enough to attractions
The hotel is a bit removed from the bustling Myrtle Beach area, which guests noted was a welcome reprieve after spending the day exploring the sites. These are relatively easy to reach, as the hotel sits off the highway, so traveling to the beach only takes about five to ten minutes depending on traffic. They also appreciated the proximity to the airport and the fact that there are some grocery stores and many restaurants around the hotel.

Guests noted that the entire staff was professional and pleasant, and the employees manning the front desk received special praise for the efficiency, friendliness and helpfulness.

Guests liked having the pool, the hot tub and the BBQ facilities on site, which they stated was a great way to relax. They also appreciated the large parking area and found the free Wi-Fi to be adequate.

Downside of beachfront lodging
As several guests pointed out, the public areas but even more so the rooms had a bit of a musty odor, which they concluded was from the high humidity and somewhat ineffective air-conditioning units that couldn't quite keep up.

Guests noted that the elevator seemed very old, and the rooms also had signs of aging such as peeling paint, stained carpets and mold. Fortunately, the property will be undergoing renovations through the end of 2016, which will hopefully address these concerns.
