Positive Reviews
positive:
Good location.
It's almost perfectly placed for the visiting traveller to get around and see the sights - the metro station is literally seconds from the hotel. If staying on a Saturday or Sunday, the local flea market provides fun, bargains ... and an insight into another way of life.
positive:
Non-stop food!
Restaurants, including 24 hour operations, abound in the area; so during the day, or night … there's no reason to go hungry.
positive:
Clean and well run.
Everyone is very friendly and efficient and all areas are in tip-top condition and scrupulously clean. Wi-Fi is good in the room and you can even rent a pocket Wi-Fi to take with you as you explore the city. *This works well, too.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Small and hard.
Westerners are used to spacious rooms and comfortable, relaxing furnishings. In these parts, though, things are very different. Rooms (here) are very much on the small side and the bed and pillows are like rocks. The bathroom, though, is excellent and despite the room's small dimensions, they've crammed in plenty of storage space.
negative:
Not easy to find.
The hotel is tucked away down a quiet alleyway and off the beaten track. Consequently, even the local taxi drivers don't know of its existence and it's not unusual for them to have to phone the hotel for instructions. A bit frustrating after a long journey - but you'll laugh about it later + the hotel itself, is worth that initial hassle.
negative:
A good location - but not the best.
Hotels in Myeongdong are better placed for tourists. However, Dongmyo Station is seconds away and lines 1 and 6 will take you to prime locations.
