Central Kalamazoo Area Location
With plenty to see and do in the Kalamazoo/Portage area, you'll want a hotel with a central location, and that's just what you'll get here. It provides easy access to I-94 and is just four miles from downtown Kalamazoo. WMU, Kalamazoo College, and KVCC are all nearby. There are plenty of restaurants close by and a shopping mall on the other side of the highway. Firekeepers Casino is 30 minutes away off of I-94.

Fresh, Contemporary Rooms
This hotel is new and it shows in the furnishings and decor. Rooms have a different layout than typical Marriotts, and include a pull-out couch, large desk, and armoire. Rooms are ultra clean, spacious, and give a feeling of cozy comfort. Guests love the complimentary Paul Mitchell toiletries, which add a touch of class.

There's plenty of space to talk with friends, or perhaps play a board game. You can enjoy a cocktail, Starbucks coffee, or small bite to eat from The Bistro while you're relaxing.

negative:
Overpriced Breakfast
This hotel does not offer a complimentary breakfast or coffee/tea in the lobby. Guests feel the cost is too expensive for what you get and recommend hitting up the IHOP across the street for a hearty breakfast to start your day.
negative:
Local Traffic Noise
With this hotel so close to I-94, you're likely to h ear plenty of traffic noise, especially if your room faces the highway. Guests say the HVAC fan is quite noisy as well. You may want to bring a set of earplugs to help with sleep at night.
negative:
Crowded Pool Area
The pool is a bit small, especially for the size of the hotel property. Guests say it crowds quickly.
