Positive Reviews
positive:
Clean, comfortable rooms.
The rooms at Baymont Inn and Suites Kalamazoo have a comfortable, homely feel, with comfy chairs alongside generously-sized beds, and amenities allowing you to prepare your own food and drinks, should you wish to do so. They also seem to be clean and well-kept: simple things that make a great stay.
positive:
Family-friendly accommodation.
Many rooms are set up for families, with rollaway band additional beds available. Here, it's understood that your family may include non-human members too - there's a pet-friendly policy too, so you don't have to abandon your beloved pooch or kitty at the kennels.
positive:
Decent budget find.
Guests feel like they're getting a great deal here, and if you're looking to save some money whilst still enjoying a pleasant, comfortable stay, this could be the answer. It's not far from central Kalamazoo, and there are plenty of free extras to enjoy for the price, like Wi-Fi, breakfast and parking.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Limited breakfast options.
The free breakfast here mainly consists of pre-prepared, processed, and carb-heavy items. It's fine if you just need something to sate your appetite, but if you want something freshly made and healthy, or even just a good-quality coffee, you may be better going elsewhere for breakfast.
negative:
Discrepancies with check-in times.
Some guests have reported encountering problems when trying to check in at the time shown on their reservation, as they've been informed on arrival that check-in is actually later. This is obviously pretty irritating, so it's probably worth checking directly with the hotel in advance.
negative:
Few extra facilities.
This hotel is literally a comfortable, clean place to rest your head at night and to grab a bit of breakfast in the morning. If you're looking for anything more than that, such as a swimming pool, a fitness center, or extensive business facilities, you won't find them here.
