Hotel Country Garden is settled in an original manor house from 1885. Six luxury individual chalets with jacuzzi give a view to the valley. In one of the original rooms of the manor house is the governors suite. The restaurant is also located in the manors house. The traditional architecture such as the inner court, the colonial veranda and the atuwa, a storage for ric,e are maintained. The interior is decorated with antique and local handicraft and art. The hotel is located amidst ricefields and tea plantations in the smal village Panabokke on half an hour distance of Kandy. Closeby are three ancient temples, called the small Cultural Triangle. On the plantation of the hotel grow tea, rice, coconuts, banana's and all kind of fruits and herbs. And there is also a kitchen garden. We can arrange a cooking workshop for you to cook yourself Sri Lankan dishes and going to the local market. For nature lovers the hotel is a real paradise with lots of birds and butterfles. And the outside swiming pool on top of the rock loks al over the valley.
