A welcome relief from the usual noise problems in hotels; this one and the location, are both really quiet. *Even the air con is silent, but it works brilliantly. It really is quiet but not short on facilities and attractions. Lincoln’s largest shopping center is just up the street.
Members of staff are really friendly and welcoming. They’ll do all they can to cater for individual needs and circumstances. Breakfast is fine and well managed. The area is kept clean and items are replenished with strict regularity. You don’t see that everywhere!
Yes, the place is quiet but, because of the lack of sound insulation between the rooms, you can still hear the quietest of guests in neighboring rooms. Can hear his TV too. *If you are a TV addict, you’ll note, with regret, there’s no HDTV here.
Room cleaning needs re-appraising. On arrival, there are too many traces of the guests who’ve just departed. Cleaning must be more intensive.
The times of serving are as confusing to staff as they are to guests. Turn up for an early breakfast – and based on information given – and you are likely to find that staff members haven’t even arrived yet.
