Positive Reviews
positive:
Great location.
Really handy location, just off the freeway. Surprisingly though, there's no noise. The hotel is next to a shopping mall, so that's another location 'plus'. Staff are really nice and do a great job coping with the hotel's dated facilities.
positive:
Clean rooms.
A bit dated, but they don't try to hide the fact that this is a 'no frills' hotel; although the lobby is impressive with awesome chandeliers and encourages you to believe otherwise. Beds are really comfy + the 'no frills' bit means that walls are bare so you don't have to endure sharing the room with artwork which, at home, you'd throw out. Water pressure is fine, so lots of good showers.
positive:
Everything here is massive.
The property, generally, is huge, so nothing cramped here. Lots of parking and an underused pool, which really is a bit of a waste of space. It's worth noting that security staff are in evidence so that adds to the ability to relax.
Negative Reviews
negative:
It's not working!
WiFi doesn't work. Neither does the TV remote. The bar is closed more often than it's open, there's no air conditioning and the breakfast is best avoided completely.
negative:
Appalling housekeeping.
Rooms are dirty and obviously haven't been properly cleaned after the last guest departed. Prepare to find clothing, belongings and even needles!
negative:
Not uplifting.
There's no elevator, so anyone with any sort of mobility problem needs to get proper confirmation that their room is accessible. The hotel has obviously seen much better days and is now suffering because of ageing facilities that are now on the 'blink'. At the end of the day, though, it's not all bad and it's much cheaper than the neighboring Double Tree.
